Social Media Help

As a lockdown project I researched and studied social media use for small businesses. I took a few formal courses including an RQF Certificate in Digital Marketing at Lincoln College and Paul Long’s Social Media Marketing for Estate Agents course.

I now help create and manage effective but affordable paid Facebook & Instagram campaigns for estate agents and others.

These campaigns will send leads to your website or to specific landing pages. Estate Agents generally use my TruVal Instant Valuation Tool as a landing page for these campaigns which focus on attracting potential vendors and landlords. Other businesses have specific needs that can include enquiry forms, specific product pages etc.

I’ve found that marketing consultants tend to want to go completely over the top when pitching these services to small businesses.

My approach is much simpler and cheaper – particularly because I’m happy to get you started then let you manage things yourself. Here’s a typical task

  • Initial free phone chat to assess needs, advertising budget and my charges
  • Assess potential for easy insertion of Meta (Facebook & Instagram) tracking into your website
  • Add Meta tracking where possible (so as to measure response and campaign success) – I’ll need access to your website or web designer
  • Zoom or face to face meeting to sketch out the format, design and message for advert creatives plus determine the audience for the campaign.
  • I get any artwork you may have or create new creatives at very reasonable cost – I use very affordable designers and AI tools for a 48 hour turnaround. I ask you to approve the finished creatives.
  • You give me administrative access to your Facebook page. You also add your card details into Meta Business Manager for advert payments.
  • I set up the budget, audience and your creatives for your campaign. You are welcome to join me on Zoom so that you can see how to do this in the future.
  • We run the campaign (duration depends on the purpose, cost and audience demographic). I create a report on success (or otherwise)
  • We then re-run the campaign, modify it if less successful than anticipated or you go back in and make changes yourself.

For most campaigns, I ask for an initial 3 hours @ £50+VAT per hour and a suitable advert budget. Smaller one and two branch estate agents can get very good success rates spending £30-£75 per month. You’ll need to pay for reusable advert design if you don’t already have anything suitable – expect to pay £50 per advert but I’ll get them created for a lot less if I can.

Ongoing, either manage the campaign yourself or pay me for an hour per month.
